Commercial Bank of Qatar is the foremost, market-leading bank in Qatar with operations across the entire Gulf region. The Client is one of the central players in the Middle East and focuses on Wholesale (Commercial) as well as Retail Banking.
The Client had an existing online trading portal with a single dynamic page and few static pages that provided minimal information and gave limited options to its consumers. Besides, the existing portal didn’t provide any real-time updates or live market information related to stock prices etc. As a result, the client was losing its existing customer base and its brand value was taking a hit as well.
Client wanted an intuitive and responsive online trading portal where the entire content was driven dynamically and all the data was updated in real-time market updates. The client wanted a dynamic portal to enhance the trading experience of their clientele.
Intelliquity understood that the portal’s success relied on critical dynamic content being fetched from 3rd party sources (Qatar Stock Exchange). Intelliquity focused on building the portal on Microsoft’s core ASP.NET platform coupled with SignalR which allowed for real-time information exchange with 3rd party sources.
Further, since this was to be an online trading portal, Intelliquity used components such as NVD3 Charts to deliver critical content to users in real-time.
The entire trading portal was then designed to be web responsive with a clear mandate on making the entire navigation experience fluidic.
